Saturday Night – What a great night!
First of all a big thanks to Jo Jo at the Idgaff for putting on such a good night complete with a red carpet and a carpet on the stage too! It was a great atmosphere and there were some great bands playing.
Personally I’d also like to say that it’s so nice to play a venue where they serve good quality alcohol. It’s been the first venue of the year where I have been able to get a brandy in a brandy glass, gently warmed and Jo Jo even served it up with a bit of honey – just what you need before getting out on stage.
The Rundown can be found on an earlier post below are some photo’s of the bands
Apart from our set (which although short I think was pretty sweet) one of the major highlights for me was Lindsey (the singer from the Australian Kingswood Factory) climbing onto the double bass which was being played in the middle bar – awsome! great band.

Somewhere along the spectrum of satire to rock god sits Jimmy Yukka......Clad in leather high-pants, Yukka rips off his posh cream silk shirt to reveal a more working class Chesty Bonds
....He screams his way though the Eurythmics inspired “Love God” ...There may not be a director and writer behind Yukka (yet...), but put The Amazing Band on at the Fringe Club or The Spiegletent and we’ll be swapping our long necks for wine glasses and calling it cabaret.

‘Not a normal band at all. Cross the feel of the circus with the energy of punk and the sexual charisma of rock and roll.
With songs like “Rocket to Ecstasy” to the offbeat genius of “Lezbian Hedgehog” what they lack in number they make up for in creativity and charisma - watch this space!’
